Can I have my mail forwarded to the rental?
Yes. For longer rentals, you can arrange this through the resort office. I believe they charge a small fee for a mailbox key copy.
Can I bring my dog?
We’re dog lovers, and we’re happy to welcome your well-behaved pup at The Lakeside Lounge! A pet fee is charged per stay, and we kindly ask that dogs stay off the furniture. If excessive pet hair is found on the sofa or linens after your visit, an additional cleaning fee may be deducted from your security deposit, as determined by our cleaning crew.
In accordance with both resort policies and general pet etiquette, all dogs must:
- Be kept on a leash when outside
- Be picked up after promptly
- Remain quiet and non-aggressive toward other guests
Please note that Sam’s Beachcomber Resort has implemented additional dog-related rules:
- Proof of current rabies vaccination and licensing is required for each dog
- The resort does not allow Pit Bulls, Chows, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Wolf-hybrids, or any mix that includes these breeds
- Final discretion is up to resort staff
These restrictions are reportedly due to insurance requirements. While we personally do not support breed-specific rules, we are required to comply with the resort’s policies and appreciate your understanding.
If you are traveling with a registered service animal, please contact us in advance — exceptions may apply.
What hours are the launch ramp open?
The launch ramp is open 24 hours a day. However, it may be limited to certain hours or closed if management of resort sees fit.
Boat Slips & Mooring Information
Boat slips are available through the resort office on a first-come, first-served basis and must be reserved upon arrival.
To use a boat slip, you’ll need to provide the resort office with copies of current boat registration and insurance. Only one slip per unit is allowed. If you leave town for more than 24 hours, you must remove your boat from the slip and notify the office. The resort requires the owner of the boat to be the person on the rental agreement bringing it in.
Please note:
- The resort does not allow boats over 26 feet in length. While we’ve occasionally seen longer boats in slips, we cannot guarantee exceptions will be made.
- Jet skis (PWCs) must use the designated PWC area and are not permitted in regular boat slips.
- Boat slip reservations must be renewed every 2 weeks.
- Any tenant who has occupied a slip for 14 or more days in the 30 days leading up to Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day will be required to remove their boat for those holiday weekends to allow for high demand use.
If boat slips are full or you prefer to stay closer to the unit, you’re welcome to beach your boat in the semi-private cove in front of the home during the day only. Overnight mooring in the cove is no longer allowed.
Please be aware: the resort does not enforce mooring etiquette such as sand stakes. If another guest takes your beach spot while you’re away, the resort considers that first-come, first-served.
Need space for a larger boat? We’re located just minutes from Lake Havasu Marina, which may be a great alternative.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 30 days’ notice for cancellations. For reservations longer than 12 nights, we require 90 days’ notice.
If you cancel within the required notice period, your deposit will be forfeited.
We truly appreciate your understanding. As a family-run rental, we depend on each booking to cover our expenses. When a reservation is canceled on short notice, we’ve often already turned away other potential guests, and it can be difficult to rebook those dates. That loss directly impacts our ability to meet our financial obligations.
While we wish this were a profitable venture, it’s truly a labor of love — and we’re grateful for guests who help make it possible.
Can I bring my cat?
For some reason we’ve had back luck when allowing people to bring cats. The fur gets everywhere, and you can’t exactly ask a cat to stay off the furniture, because they do what they want. Although we love them too, we do not allow cats.
Are there any other rules or regulations I should be aware of?
Yes! Please click HERE to see the resort’s full Rules & Regulations.
